Hearts in the Himalayas Wins More Awards
Hearts in the Himalayas, the documentary featuring Himalayan HealthCare, earned another award in July 2013, wining the Humanitarian Award at the the Third World Indie Film Festival.

Caring For The World Films announced today its latest documentary project, Hearts In The Himalayas, has been selected to receive the prestigious 2013 Humanitarian Award at the Third World Indie Film Festival. The festival celebrates established and emerging filmmakers worldwide whose topics focus on issues of the developing world and honors only the most outstanding films. It was selected among hundreds of entries from over 30 countries around the world. The festival takes place September 19th -22nd in San Francisco and the Silicon Valley. Hearts In The Himalayas profiles the efforts of the Nepalese humanitarian organization Himalayan HealthCare, which provides medical care, education, and income generation opportunities to the mostly forgotten people who live in the remote foothills of the Himalayas. “We are extremely proud of our commitment to showcase relatively unknown but extremely successful non-profit organizations who operate in places no one cares to go,” states Debi Lang, founder of Caring For The World Films. “This project is a celebration of the successful efforts of highly respected humanitarian Anil Parajuli and the exhaustive work Himalayan HealthCare has accomplished over the past twenty years in Nepal.” This is the 11th honor for the film, which was recently awarded the Golden Communicator Award of Excellence by the International Academy of the Visual Arts.
Hearts in the Himalayas has no won numerous since its release in September 2012.
